CAA is Rebranding to Illinois Apartment Association!

We are pleased to share an exciting and important milestone in the evolution of our association. After decades of serving as the leading voice for rental housing in the region, the Chicagoland Apartment Association is expanding its reach and reintroducing itself as the Illinois Apartment Association (IAA).

This change reflects our broadened mission, statewide identity, and strengthened commitment to elevating Illinois’ rental housing industry. We hold the National Apartment Association charter for the State of Illinois and renaming the association more clearly represents our ongoing mission to serve and represent the multifamily housing industry across the entire state. By expanding our geographic identity, the IAA is positioning itself to better serve owners, managers, builders, developers, and suppliers throughout Illinois.

Our goal remains the same - to be a unifying force for the multifamily housing community, offering resources that help you strengthen operations, improve resident satisfaction, and increase your bottom line. The IAA will continue to serve as the trusted voice of the rental housing industry to public policy decision makers at the federal, state, and local levels.

We will maintain our active role in reviewing regulatory initiatives and recommending policy positions to the Board of Directors. Through direct and grassroots lobbying, public affairs outreach, and strategic social media engagement, we ensure policymakers understand the needs and realities of Illinois’ rental housing providers.

IAA will leverage its affiliation with the National Apartment Association by expanding its offerings of industry leading professional education programs designed to help multifamily teams operate more efficiently and effectively throughout the state. A highly-trained staff leads to improved operational performance, higher resident and employee satisfaction, and stronger communities. Whether you are seeking new insights, new partners, or new opportunities, IAA will remain a hub for professional growth and connection.

The transition from CAA to IAA begins this week.  While we are working to ensure a smooth rebrand process, please be patient as we navigate this change with our website, social media channels, and internal operations. 

While our name is changing, our commitment to being the state’s premier rental housing industry advocate remains unwavering. We are proud to represent more than 7,000 apartment professionals who own and manage over 324,000 market rate and affordable rental units across Illinois, and we look forward to expanding our impact even further.
